Now
What I am doing right now.
Engineering focus
Right now I am heads down on two fronts. At my day job, I am scaling backend architecture and pushing hard on API reliability. In the gaps between, I am building out a Cloudflare + Sanity automated blog pipeline that removes manual deployment steps entirely.
The pipeline is the kind of project that sounds simple until you are three layers deep in edge function caching invalidation. I am enjoying it.
Side projects
I am building Kareti, a structured digital profile and Google Wallet card system built specifically for local businesses here in Tunisia.
Most local businesses run their entire operations out of outdated Facebook pages, broken links, and raw PDF menus that modern search engines can't read. Kareti replaces that mess with a clean, mobile-first profile, a reusable QR code, and a native Wallet pass.
On the engineering side, I'm particularly happy with the preview pipeline: users can snap a photo of a paper card or menu, and the backend extracts the details to instantly bootstrap their structured profile. I am keeping the generated public pages incredibly lightweight and optimized for both human scanning and search crawlers. No public link yet, but the pilot is solid.
I am also tinkering with React 19 and Three.js for a project called Orbit. It started as a way to test the new React compiler but has grown into something I actually want to ship.
No timeline. No pressure. That is the point.
Reading and learning
I am re-reading Designing Data-Intensive Applications for the third time. Each pass reveals something I missed before, usually because I did not have the context to understand it yet.
I am also going deeper on webhook idempotency patterns. Sounds narrow, but it solves a class of bugs that show up in production at the worst possible moment.
Availability
I am currently heads down and not taking new freelance projects. If you have a senior-level consulting opportunity that aligns with backend architecture or full-stack product work, reach out. I will get back to you when I surface.
